The Farm

The view from my office window is drool-worthy. I routinely see coyotes and roadrunners, herons and hawks passing through. So, yeah, envy me. The pics immediately below were all taken from the comfort of my desk or, in the case of the first one, my front door.

Rainbow's End Farm

I've named my 27-acre farm Rainbow's End. On it, I have miniature horses, goats, chickens, ducks, guineas, dogs, cats, parakeets, and an iguana. It's a work in progress. The property offers a little bit of everything: two stock ponds, lots of junipers, oak and pecan trees, and pastures. I know, it sounds lovely -- until you have to mow it all.

From these pics, you might think we get a lot of snow at Rainbow's End. But I snapped these pics precisely because snow in North Texas is unusual for us.

The driveway you see is about 1/4-mile long.

Posts About Rainbow's End

When I started the Dare to Dream / Be Thrilled blog, I posted occasional updates about the farm here. Now I have a separate blog, Confessions of an Animal Junkie, where I post farm pictures and stories on Mondays (and sometimes Wednesdays) and Vet Tech Tales on Fridays. It's like FarmVille, only non-interactive and easier to play because you don't actually have to do anything. Come on by. You can even share your animal stories and pictures too!

Divine Miss P,
What a lovely place. Happy Independence Day for you and your critters. Did you set off some firecrackers?
Best,
